UF Health Shands Hospital and UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital serve as the cornerstone to the UF Health system and rank among the nation’s best hospitals in 14 combined specialties, more than any other hospital in Florida for 2021-22, according to U.S. News & World Report.

In its 2021-22 rankings, UF Health Shands Hospital was nationally ranked in six adult specialties: urology (32nd), ear, nose and throat (32nd), pulmonology and lung surgery (37th), geriatrics (42nd), gynecology (45th) and cardiology and heart surgery (50th).

Meanwhile, UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital was ranked the No. 1 hospital in Florida and among the nation’s best in eight pediatric specialties: cardiology and heart surgery (7th), diabetes and endocrinology (12th), pulmonology (21st), cancer (45th), neurology & neurosurgery (45th), urology (46th), neonatology (47th) and nephrology (48th).
