The clinical resources of UF Health span two campuses — Gainesville and Jacksonville — each centered around a major teaching hospital. The academic health center also offers a nurse-managed practice in a rural community, dental centers providing general and specialty dental care in communities across the state of Florida, and two veterinary hospitals for small and large animals.
The Gainesville campus is home to seven hospitals and associated outpatient programs. The hospitals encompass 1,162 licensed beds, staffed by more than 1,200 UF College of Medicine faculty physicians and more than 10,000 UF Health Shands employees. More than 50 UF Health Physicians primary care and specialty medical practices are located throughout North Central Florida.
The Jacksonville campus is home to two hospitals and associated outpatient programs as well as more than 60 primary care and specialty practices. The hospitals feature 695 licensed beds staffed by 645 UF College of Medicine faculty physicians and more than 4,700 UF Health Jacksonville employees.
