UF Health Shands Hospital and UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital serve as the cornerstone to the UF Health system and rank among the nation’s best hospitals in numerous combined specialties for 2023-24, according to U.S. News & World Report.

In its latest rankings for adult care, the hospital stands among the nation’s best in five specialties: ear, nose & throat (30th); neurology & neurosurgery (30th); obstetrics & gynecology (39th); geriatrics (42nd); and pulmonology & lung surgery (43rd). UF Health Shands Hospital also was listed as “high performing” in four specialties, including cardiology, heart & vascular surgery; gastroenterology & GI surgery; orthopedics; and urology.
